I’m a guide runner

I became a guide runner back in 2024, and it's been one of the most rewarding parts of my running journey.

Running has given me so much over the years, and becoming a guide felt like a way of giving something back. Guiding isn't about pace or finish times; it's about trust, teamwork, communication, and helping someone experience the freedom and joy that movement can bring. Being able to support someone through their running journey is a privilege I'll never take for granted.

Since becoming a guide, I've had the opportunity to support a number of incredible people, each experience teaching me something new. But one memory will always stand out.

The London Marathon with Puspa.

Guiding and supporting others through their running and movement journeys is something I truly love. There's nothing quite like sharing a passion for running and being part of someone else's experience and opportunity.

That day, I had the honour of supporting Puspa through the London Marathon. Watching her tackle 26.2 miles in her everyday chair for the very first time was one of the most inspiring things I've ever witnessed.

Puspa, you are the definition of determination. Your strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit are beyond inspiring. You are so badass. It was a completely new experience for both of us, and I feel incredibly proud and grateful to have shared that journey with you.

Moments like that remind me why I became a guide runner in the first place. Running is about so much more than chasing personal goals - it's about connection, creating opportunities, and helping others achieve things they never thought possible. Those are the memories that stay with you forever.
