Brugg 24hr | My final race of the year

It’s been just under two weeks since my final race of the year, and I wanted to share a few thoughts.

224.80km at Brugg 24hr. My third attempt at this format. The wind, cold and relentless rain made us work for it, but I’m really proud of what I achieved given the circumstances.

Coming away with the GB qualifying distance made it even more special. The thought of wearing a GB vest for 24hr is pretty exciting. There’s still a lot to be confirmed, with selection yet to happen and the World Championships still unconfirmed, but it’s exciting to think where this could lead in 2027.

Brugg rounded off my biggest year of racing so far: LA to Vegas, my first official 100 miler and now a 24 hour finish. I am pretty damn happy! I’m now taking some time to appreciate it all and give my body the rest it deserves.

The Brugg film is now on YouTube, capturing the race and the people who helped me get to that finish.
