Imo Boddy Collective: Yorkshire Three Peaks Trail-Running Event

Three peaks, 24 miles and a community brought together by a shared love of running and adventure.

In October 2026, the Imo Boddy Collective headed to the Yorkshire Dales for an unforgettable trail running adventure, bringing together 10 guests to take on one of the UK's most iconic challenges: The Yorkshire Three Peaks.

In collaboration with SportsShoes and Salomon, the weekend brought together a small group of runners from the Imo Boddy Collective for a day of challenging trails, incredible scenery and shared achievement. Led by record-breaking British ultra runner Imo Boddy, alongside mountain guide Anna Buckingham, the experience was designed to celebrate trail running, build connections and give everyone the opportunity to take on a memorable challenge together.

With beautiful October weather on our side, it was a weekend that captured everything the Imo Boddy Collective is about: getting outside, pushing ourselves and creating meaningful experiences through movement.

Three peaks, one incredible adventure

The challenge took the group across the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Covering approximately 24 miles (38.6 km), with around 1,600 metres of ascent, the circular route offered a rewarding mix of climbs, technical trails and sweeping views across the Yorkshire Dales.

The group moved together across the peaks with checkpoints along the way to break up the challenge and keep everyone supported throughout the experience. From the climbs to the descents, every section brought its own rewards. The day was about more than the distance or elevation; it was about the shared effort, the encouragement between runners, and the satisfaction of completing a big day on the trails together.

More than the miles

At the Imo Boddy Collective, we believe the best adventures extend beyond the activity itself.

Our base for the weekend was The Craven Arms, providing a welcoming place to stay, unwind and connect away from the trails. After the challenge, we headed to The Nettle in Settle for an evening meal, sharing stories from the day and celebrating what we'd achieved together.

These moments are at the heart of IBC. We want to create experiences that bring people together through running, a shared love of the outdoors and the confidence to try something new. The miles matter, but so do the friendships, conversations, memories made along the way and inspiration to take on a future challenge.

Here’s some words from some of our participants:

‘The weekend exceeded all my expectations. Most of all, I loved the conversations throughout the day with the other attendees. Hearing about everyone’s achievements, experiences and upcoming races was genuinely inspiring.Off the back of the weekend, I’ve already booked a 56k race in the Lake District with others from the trip!’ - Hali

‘I've only started getting into trail running in the last year and it's so hard to find other people, particularly girls, who enjoy doing the same thing, so I was so grateful to be able to go on this trip and be connected with like-minded people. A few of us have since signed up for an ultra next year so I really feel like this has sparked my trail running community.’ - Helen

‘Everything was run so professionally, and it was brilliant to pick up mountain safety skills from Imo and the guide. The hospitality never stopped, with delicious food throughout and a really happy supper to celebrate finishing the challenge.’ - Guy

‘The hotel was directly opposite the train station, which made everything so easy. It was such a lovely, small, family-run hotel, with a cute pub and a stunning restaurant. The room was perfect and the bed was ridiculously comfy!A huge thank you to the Imo Boddy Collective for putting together such a brilliant first event. I’d absolutely love to come along to the next one! ’ - Tash
